What East of England PSA has done for me - Andy Lopata
I have been attending a number of PSA Chapters on a regular basis for four years. Each one benefits me in a different way as they each have their own unique style and flavour.
The East of England Chapter is unique in my experience. Spending a full day a few times a year with business experts who are committed to each other is immensely valuable. Because of the size of the group and the format of the meetings, you tend to get more involved than in other PSA Chapters and build stronger relationships more quickly.
I have both produced both a CD and written a book as a result of alliances forged at this Chapter, as well as finding the editor for both of my books. It is well worth the investment of my time four times a year.
New Events for 2007
Survey response
Following the survey sent out at the end of last year, there was significant interest in evening events. If you can spare the time to help organise these, or help out on the chapter committee (eg keeping the website up to date or press releases) please email
There was also resounding feedback saying how valuable the day events are, so at present these will continue to be organised. If you have not been to a full day event, do take the chance during 2007 to come along and experience the value others talk about.
March 18th 2006
East of England member Jo Parfitt’s fifth book on careers is released by Bookshaker. Expat Entrepreneur is an inspiring read and packed with case studies of real people who have gone there and done that.
Chapter President wins award
On 26th November 2005 Kate Atkin was recognised as the most outstanding trainer in JCI UK for 2005. The award was presented by JCI World President Kevin Cullinane at the Annual Awards Ceremony in Leeds.
What our members say......
while it may only happen 4 times a year, the format and regularity of this meeting is perfect for me. When I lose a day’s income I gain the kind of insights and connections that others would drive miles and pay loads for. It is an action-packed day and allows us all to make friends at the same time. That’s priceless. Jo Parfitt
Just a note to thank you for the opportunity to present my keynote yesterday. The feedback was pretty radical, but all the more useful for that. I got a lot out of the rest of the meeting. Don’t you meet such interesting people at the PSA? Anthony Day
